This is a space for LGBTQ people and their allies in Bermuda.
With the ‘issue’ of whether or not to include “sexual orientation” in Bermudian human rights legislation (to protect people from being discriminated against based on their sexual orientation) once again being discussed in Parliament, in the newspapers, on the internet and on the streets, we want to show that there are people on this island, and abroad, who stand strong behind the LGBTQ community of Bermuda.
The angry, hateful speech and comments do not need to be the only responses people see whenever LGBTQ issues come up in Bermuda. This is a real part of Bermuda’s community. They are your brothers, your sisters, your children, your parents, your cousins, your partners, your teammates, your co-workers, your friends.
Help us start taking small steps toward being supportive allies to an all too frequently silenced part of our island.
We have no affiliation with a group of a previous or similar name.
